Modern Warfare 2 is a first-person shooter game developed by Infinity Ward and published by Activision. It is the sequel to the previous game, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. The game was officially announced on February 11, 2009, and released on November 10th, 2009. Upon release the game received positive reviews, and sold 4.7 million copies worldwide in 24 hours. On June 15, 2010, the game officially sold 20 millions copies worldwide. It is the all time best selling game in the U.K., and the second all time best selling game in the United States. Modern Warfare 2 features campaign, cooperative, and online multiplayer modes. Some of the game modes in multiplayer are Free-For-All, Search & Destroy, Demolition, Sabotage, Domination, Team Deathmatch, and Capture The Flag. Like Call of Duty 4, Modern Warfare features a hardcore mode, where bullets have increased damage and your mini map is removed from your HUD.
